Signal tape
The work is devoted to reflection upon the restrictiveness of the Dnipro city. Due to the developed industry and rocketry, the city was closed to visitors up until the 1990s. The artist depicts an illusory restrictive tape using fragments of his own home mirror, which had become a silent witness to the privacy of those years. How much has the closeness of the city affected the growing generations, political processes and personal traits of its inhabitants?
Invisible borders served as the foundation for isolation, stolidity and introvertiveness, forming a zone of comfort which it is not so easy to leave.
